Why EOS In a Recession?
Well, I know that there are a lot of businesses suffering out there, and I know my view may not be popular, but I think some of the businesses that are now suffering probably weren’t good businesses in the first place, or maybe they just didn’t plan for what was bound to happen.
Our whole economy was propped up by the government during COVID-19, and with a change in the way people acted and businesses operated, some businesses did well with this change. But now, as things start to return to the new normal, these businesses may not be able to survive.
Don’t get me wrong—there are some industries that have genuinely been hit hard, and some people are definitely suffering with the increased mortgage rates. I’m not kidding myself that there aren’t some people who are suffering, but I do believe that there is always a way to take control of the situation and make the most of it.
There are always cycles of highs and lows (generally about every ten years), and we can take measures to prepare for them.
Having a plan and then also a plan B means that you are prepared for anything that is thrown your way and can take advantage of the opportunities that a recession (or economic downturn, as I prefer to call it) offers.
And if your team is fully on board with your Vision and plan, meets regularly, deals with issues as they arise, and stays laser-sharp focused on what is important, then the chances are you can actually improve both your topline growth and your bottom-line net profit.
