I don’t think anyone would argue that things feel tough right now.
Wages are rising, finding & keeping good people is harder than ever, clients are more cautious with spending, & it can feel like you’re constantly working harder just to stand still.
And yet, something interesting is happening.
Almost every one of my EOS clients is having a record quarter.
Take one of my clients, a professional services firm with around 40 people.
Earlier this year, they were really feeling the pressure. Their wage bill had jumped, clients were pushing back on pricing, & everyone was stretched thin trying to do more with less. It would have been easy to panic.
Instead, they chose to refocus.
They revisited their Vision & got crystal clear on who their ideal clients were & which services truly delivered value.
They reset their Rocks so everyone knew what mattered most each quarter.
They started using their Scorecard more effectively, tracking the numbers that actually moved the needle.
They had honest conversations about capacity & profitability, & made some tough calls on work that wasn’t aligned with their strategy.
Within two quarters, they were ahead of target, their team was more engaged, & profitability had improved significantly.
Not because the market got easier, but because they focused on what they could control.
That’s the power of clarity, consistency & accountability.
It doesn’t mean they don’t feel the pressure. They do.
But instead of letting outside circumstances shake them, they doubled down on their vision, their priorities & their people.
And the result? Growth. Real, sustainable growth.
Here’s the beautiful thing about that.
